Suze Orman is not an attorney! Please do not use her estate planning tools especially for powers of attorney. I just reviewed someone's health care power of attorney that gave the power immediately (upon signing) as opposed to when the patient actually was incapable of making her own health care decisions. I don't know about you, but I don't want anyone making health care decisions for me when I am capable of doing it myself. The whole point of having a health care power of attorney is for someone to make decisions for you when you are not able to make them for yourself. The drive to save yourself some money will actually cost you in the long run.
